Description
In 1983 the first cuttings of Roussanne were introduced to this country.
The de Pury family planted them alongside some existing Marsanne and over thirty years later this small vineyard produces one of the finest examples of this classic Rhone-inspired white blend. The wine is aged for approximately 8-9 months in old oak yet it retains remarkable freshness and structure. It is complex and layered without being overwhelming.
This wine evolves beautifully with age; each day it spends in the bottle enhances its character. The production of this wine is limited. Given the quality of the producer the vintage and the wine’s reputation and rarity it would be a valuable addition to the collection of any enthusiast of textural whites.
