Description
Travis Bickle is a Vietnam veteran who works as a night-shift taxi driver in New York City. He leads a solitary life spending his nights driving through the city.
As he navigates the streets he fills his time by writing in a diary taking pills and visiting adult theaters. His experiences and frustrations with the environment around him drive him to take action.
After encountering a young prostitute he becomes determined to change the grim surroundings he finds himself in. His solution to the problems he sees is to resort to extreme violence.
