Description
This story of friendship and survival takes place in the 1860s highlighting a group of runaways who rely on their wits and instincts to navigate their challenges.
Two main characters stand out as complementary opposites: Drew a well-mannered boy from a religious family in Ohio is trying to escape the draft while Jake is a rough-around-the-edges drifter who isn’t averse to petty theft.
Throughout their journey they encounter various outlaws and troublemakers which tests their resilience and adaptability.
Ultimately the experience leaves them both older and wiser deepening their bond of friendship.
